Frequently Asked Questions
Initiated by DesignIndia Magazine in 2015, India’s Best Design Awards (IBDA) is India’s most respected design award, setting the benchmark for excellence across various categories such as product design, communication design, digital design, spatial design, and more. IBDA honours designs that serve the needs of an evolving society and provides a platform for designers to network, collaborate, and exchange ideas with their peers.
IBDA is open to design professionals and studios (independent & in-house). Minors and individuals who have no or only limited legal capacity are not eligible to participate.
A project will be eligible for India’s Best Design Awards if it is under two years old from the date of the awards. If the project has not been released in the market yet, it should be on track to implementation within the next two years.
IBDA is a recognised symbol of accomplishment that spotlights good design and highlights the winners in a competitive design landscape. Here are some more reasons for competing in IBDA:
- Present Your Work: Doing great design today is not enough. Make efforts to present your work, its context and values, visually as well as verbally.
- Get expert opinion: Your design deserves to be seen by others beyond its direct audience. It is important that your work is seen and recognised by others globally.
- Impress clients: India’s Best Design Awards is an invaluable endorsement of your work. Clients always trust and want to work with award-winning designers who follow global ethical practices.
- Stand out: Winning India’s Best Design Award is a great way to stand out in a competitive design market. Get noticed and get your competition talking about you.
- Set the benchmark: Set the benchmark for others to follow. Your project deserves to be a case study for others to refer to and learn. Your studio will attract good clients and designers, bringing global recognition to Indian design.
