Alai Osai – Sound of Waves

Project Introduction:
Alai Osai is a three-storey coastal residence in Chennai transformed through a research-driven integration of art, architecture and spatial storytelling. Inspired by the owners’ interests in mathematics, sustainability and Tamil culture, the interventions draw from the Fibonacci sequence, coastal ecosystems and local monuments. Art, lighting and sculpture were developed across ten areas of the home, combining cultural craftsmanship with material resilience and structural intelligence to respond to the scale, geometry and coastal environment of the residence.
