Register your entry in India’s Best Design Student Awards 2024 in 6 Steps:
Skill Projects
Skill Projects are all about honing specific skills. It is a proactive & structured approach to skill development, where you dedicate your time & effort to focused learning. With Skill Projects, you actively engage in purposeful activities that help you enhance your abilities. Think of material handling, typographic inventions, pottery, photography, weaving, sketching, & medium explorations
Design Projects
Design Projects require you to apply design principles, techniques, & processes to create or improve products, systems, or experiences. The focus here is to solve design problems, meet objectives, or fulfill client requirements. India’s Best Design Student Award is all about recognising your unique skills and creativity across the spectrum of design disciplines.
We believe in the power of merit, which means that each entry is evaluated solely on its own exceptional qualities. It’s not about competing against each other, but rather celebrating the individual excellence that shines within the student community.
By acknowledging your unique talent and skills, we aim to raise the bar and set higher standards for the entire design industry. Together, we’re nurturing a new generation of creative thinkers who will shape the future of design in India.
You must be a student currently pursuing a full-time (4 years) design course.
- Only 3rd year, 4th year Bachelors, and Masters students are eligible.
- You can submit only your academic projects which you have completed during your undergraduate or postgraduate courses.
- You can submit projects done at any year during your college curriculum.
- You can enter your graduation project as one of the projects.
- If you have graduated, your graduation year must be the same as the year of the award. So if you have graduated in 2024, you are eligible to enter India’s Best Design Student Award 2024.
- Freelance and professional projects are inadmissible, and will be disqualified.
- Any group project that you submit will be treated as an individual project and credited to you.
Rules
- Only one entry per student is allowed, multiple entries will be disqualified.
- Your entry must include four academic projects.
- Two of those should be skill projects with only the final results, no explorations.
- The other two projects must be design projects that should include the exploration and process along with the final results.
- Once you have submitted your entry, you cannot withdraw from the awards.
- The entry fees are non-refundable.
- You must submit a scanned copy of your college ID confirming you as their student.
- Faculty may be contacted for verification. If they don’t respond or cannot verify, the entry will be disqualified.
- Disqualifications will not be notified.
- The decision of the jury shall be final and binding.

No, there is no cash prize at India’s Best Design Student Award. All participants get a Certificate of Participation, while winners receive a Winner’s Certificate and a Medal.
India’s Best Design Student Awards are judged by a panel of renowned designers, industry experts, and academics.
They evaluate the submissions based on creativity, originality, technical skills, and overall presentation.
Each entry will be judged by multiple jury and their selections will be collated to declare the winners.

Yes, you can modify the details in the registration form within 24 hours of the submission by emailing ibda@design-india.com and notifying us about the change.
Please try submitting your entry again. A high traffic volume on the website may be causing the issue. If you still cannot upload the entry file, you can email it to us at ibda@design-india.com
Yes, there is a one-time entry fee which will be used to defray the expenses of administrative and production processes involved in awarding the winners of IBDSA.

Please note that your payment should credit to our bank account before the entries close.
Please retry the payment after ensuring the information entered is accurate. Check your account details, billing addresses, and passwords. If your payment still fails, you can use the Bank Transfer payment option.
If the payment is debited from your account after a payment failure, it will be credited back within 7-10 days. If it doesn’t, please check with your bank.
Send us an email at ibda@design-india.com if your account gets debited twice. Any amount debited twice due to a glitch or technical error will be credited back through the same mode used while making the payment.
No, you cannot cancel your entry once your submission is complete. The entry fees are non-refundable.
