[un_section_heading title=”INDIA’S BEST DESIGN PROJECT 2019″]

Project Introduction:

Paiwand is a small textile studio based in Noida, India. We up-cycle textile waste for design houses and artisans through handloom weaving. Understanding the problems conscious designers face with textile waste, we aim to work as a catalyst in the process of reducing pre-consumer textile scrap by adding value to it. We sort the waste as per different color stories and fiber type, which saves a lot of chemicals and water. The waste is then cut into strips and hand woven into new fabric. We are expanding to hand knitting and patchwork.
