The basic idea was to set up a non-profit organization in Odisha and connect the state to the rest of world through its crafts and culture. The Odisha Design Council is abbreviated as ODC, which resembles ‘Odissi’ – used to describe the culture of the state and a popular classical dance. ODC intends to spread education, research and development in the field of design.
