Project Name:
Forefathers Hyderabad
Project Introduction:
Forefathers Restaurant in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills blends South Indian tradition with modern design. The client’s brief was to create a welcoming, visually appealing space reflecting their fusion concept. The standout feature is the “Clay Court” chandelier, made from 90 units of Telangana Dhurries, Telia Rumal cloths, leather shadow puppetry, frosted stained glass, Corten steel, and Ikat textiles. This installation serves as both decor and a narrative medium, telling Telangana’s cultural stories. It creates a dynamic interplay of light and shadow, shifting from bright to intimate, and establishes a unique identity for the restaurant. While the Corten steel blocks add depth, the frosted stained glass & plain fabric blocks balance the ambience, creating a mystic yet pleasantly lit space.
