Project Introduction:
Tirupathi is the home of Lord Balaji, or Vishnu (the Preserver) and a place of deep religious significance. This luxe, religious tourism hotel was looking at creating a space that evoked the power of the ten avatars
of Vishnu, in an artistic, impactful but not overtly religious way. The avatars are Matsya (fish), Kurma (tortoise), Varaha (boar), Narasimha (half man-half lion), Vamana (dwarf), Parshuram (warrior), Rama (the just), Krishna (the philosopher), Buddha (the teacher) and Kalki (yet to come).
