UNFOLD Furniture Collection

Project introduction:

Amrich Life, in collaboration with Ritu Sharma, undertook in-depth research that experimented with the ancient Japanese art of Itajimeshibori on waste veneer sourced from wood workshops, to successfully translate the textile resist-dyeing technique on wood. This needed careful engineering to develop into a collection of handcrafted, exclusive furniture called UNFOLD. The bespoke collection comprises the INKU Coffee Table, SUKI Side Table, KENJI Bench, and NORI Console. The furniture takes cues from contemporary simplified forms and Japanese traditions, creating a simple yet profound statement.
