Project Introduction:
This project draws inspiration from the
bark of a tree to create a triple-layered fabric representing the anatomy of a tree’s bark.
To elaborate, a bark is made up of layers of concentric rings, and each of these rings develop progressively year after year, thereby adding strength to the tree.
Similarly, the three layers in this textile add strength to the fabric. The customized setup of the loom makes the exploration of various exciting textures possible.
