The wooden upholstery technique was created by Differniture to challenge the preconceived notions one has about how materials should be used, what makes a cushion a form of comfort and flexibility while a piece of wood is considered hard and rigid. The idea behind creating this technique was to give a rigid material like wood a flexible and comfortable experience when interacted with.
