Project Introduction:
This project is a collaboration with The Summer House clothing company to upcycle their pre-consumer textile waste into unique art pieces using contemporary techniques of traditional patchwork and quilting crafts. The textile waste is sorted in terms of color and composition and later patched together in the shape of the pattern. The patched fabrics are later hand quilted by women from a small town community in the south of Andhra Pradesh.
