Project Introduction:
The concept of ‘duality’ formed the basis of the Nege Ju experience. It was a Jekyllian-Hyde model that switches and takes on a completely different identity as the time shifts from day to night. Therefore, dainty during the day and indulgent at night—a morphing that would be starkly visible to all in its décor to lighting and even music. Accompanying this change in the physical space is the menu and cuisine—an airy European bistro in the day and the headedness and vibrancy of China-town feel at night. From light-mirrored and nimble concept art and décor to heavy-velvet drapery and dark mirrors at night against the up-beat music. The purpose was to bring out the unadulterated metamorphosis of characters of the place to highlight its unique duality model.
