Thousands of masking solutions have blossomed all over the world, but almost all of them are knee-jerk reactions to the Covid-19 problem. If at the outbreak of the pandemic there had existed a mask that could have been adapted to the specifications of the airborne virus, imagine how many lives could have been saved! We adopted a system design approach to develop a mask with an ‘open architecture’ that’s perfectly suited for the present crisis, and yet relevant for the future. We present Multi-mask: the future ready transparent mask with an attachable shield.
