Jakata Stool

Project Introduction:

The Jataka Side Table/Stool bridges heritage and modernity, drawing inspiration from the architectural brilliance of the Brihadeeswara Temple. Its interlocking mechanism, echoing the temple’s ancient brick assembly without binding agents, highlights timeless structural ingenuity. Crafted with sliding bamboo panels, it doubles as a storytelling canvas, narrating tales of biodiversity, cultural heritage, and environmental challenges. Sustainably produced by skilled artisans, this multifunctional piece celebrates India’s legacy while addressing contemporary design needs with elegance and purpose.
