Delhi-Meerut Mass Rapid Transit System – Meerut Metro (MRTS)
Project Introduction:
MRTS marks the debut of indigenously manufactured trainsets for the Meerut Metro, delivered to the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) under a contract signed by Alstom in 2020. This contract involves the provision of 210 cars for the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS). As part of this agreement, Alstom will supply 30 coaches, arranged in a configuration of 10 trainsets, to serve the Meerut Metro line. Each trainset consists of three cars, designed to enhance the regional transit network with modern, efficient transportation solutions.
