About the Studio:
Baaya Design, established in 2009 by Shibani Jain, an alumna of NID Ahmedabad, brings alive India’s rich artisanal heritage through contemporary design. Inspired by the ethos of the weaver bird ‘baya’, the studio aims to preserve India’s centuries-old practices and hand skills. Baaya offers bespoke art and decor solutions that add beauty and soul to spaces. From its expansive Experience Centre and Studio in Mumbai, Baaya’s creations enhance spaces from Hyatt Dehradun to the iconic Tata Bombay House, Airports and homes, telling artful stories and transforming environments into meaningful experiences. At the heart of Baaya Design is the belief that art and culture, when integrated into our lives, make the world a richer place. Baaya has built multidisciplinary teams – experienced in creating global design and strong production capabilities that provide a convenient one-stop-shop for customers right from conceptualisation to implementation of projects.
