Initiated by DesignIndia Magazine in 2015, India’s Best Design Awards (IBDA) is India’s most respected design award, setting the benchmark for excellence across various categories such as product design, communication design, digital design, spatial design, and more. IBDA honours designs that serve the needs of an evolving society and provides a platform for designers to network, collaborate, and exchange ideas with their peers.

What are the eligibility criteria to enter India’s Best Design Awards?

IBDA is open to design professionals and studios (independent & in-house). Minors and individuals who have no or only limited legal capacity are not eligible to participate.

How old can the project be for it to be a valid entry?

A project will be eligible for India’s Best Design Awards if it is under two years old from the date of the awards. If the project has not been released in the market yet, it should be on track to implementation within the next two years.

Why should I enter my project for India’s Best Design Awards?

  3. Purpose: Projects must be compatible with the current market and add utility to their industry.
  4. Effectiveness: Projects should be engaging and compelling and clearly communicate their intent to customers.
  5. Impact: Projects should be commercially viable and sensitive to their long-term impact on society.
When will the winners of IBDA 2024 be announced?

The winners of IBDA 2024 will be announced tentatively in August after the jury process. All the winners will be honoured at India’s Best Design Awards ceremony that follows The DesignIndian Show. The event includes panel discussions and expert talks from design veterans worldwide, followed by the Gala Awards Show.

My entry is not uploading. What should I do?

Can I pay the entry fee now and submit my entry later?

Yes, you can pay for your entry now and submit your entry later. For Design Projects and Independent Studios, you must submit the project within a week of making the payment.

How can I pay for my entry into IBDA 2024?

We support multiple payment options to accept entries into IBDA 2024:

  • Credit Card
  • Debit Card
  • Net Banking
    Bank Transfer by NEFT/RTGS (Send us an email at ibda@design-india.com to avail of this mode of payment. We will share our bank details with you.)
  • Please note that payment should credit to our bank account before the entries close.

My payment has failed. What should I do?

Please retry the payment after ensuring the accuracy of the information entered, including all account details, billing addresses, and passwords. If your payment still fails, you can use the Bank Transfer payment option.

If the payment gets debited from your account after a payment failure, it will be credited back within 7-10 days. If it doesn’t, please check with your bank.

I am being charged GST in my payment. What is GST?

GST, Goods & Services Tax, is a single tax on the supply of goods and services levied on every value addition. It is added to a product/service’s sale price. GST is borne/paid by the ultimate product or service consumer. If your order is fulfilled on or after 1st July 2017, GST will be applicable to your entry. GST replaces all other taxes like Excise, VAT, Entry tax, etc.

Will I get a GST invoice after completing the payment?

Yes, you will receive the payment receipt via email after successful payment. After a few days, you will get a GST invoice on your registered email id.

Am I eligible for the input credit of GST that I have paid?

Yes, you will get the input credit of the GST you have paid. It will only be available if you have submitted the correct GST number. Please double-check the GST number before submitting.

My payment has been debited twice for one entry. Will I get a refund for the extra payment?

Send us an email at ibda@design-india.com if your account gets debited twice. Any amount debited twice due to a glitch or technical error will be credited back through the same mode used while making the payment.

Can I modify my entry’s billing address/GST number after it has been submitted?

Yes, you can modify the billing address/GST number of your entry within 24 hours of the submission by emailing ibda@design-india.com and notifying us about the change.
